ACCESSIBILITY

As much as we would like to be able to tell you that our cafe is fully accessible to all, unfortunately we cannot say that. The building, which does not belong to us, is many centuries old and not very large, and we are sorry to say, not configurable to modern standards of accessibility.

Below you will find some photographs of the main obstacles which some customers may find difficult.

We will of course do all we can to offer help to any customers who may require it, but it is important that we make people aware of the difficulties some may face.

Entrance

The entrance to our cafe is down an alleyway with a right-angle, right turn at the end. The width at its narrowest is approx 1metre.

Step up into outside eating area

From the gravel entrance there is a step up to the decked seating area of approx 10cm high. Our team members will be pleased to help customers up this step if needed.

Example garden booths

This shows some of our covered garden booths, with wooden bench seating. Two of the booths have electric halogen heaters.

Toilet

The toilet is on the ground floor. There is just one unisex toilet. Unfortunately there is very little space and not enough for a wheelchair.

Stairs to dining room

Once inside the building, customers wishing to eat inside are required to go upstairs (13 steps) with one handrail on the left as you go up.
